The Twenty-Sixth Meeting of the ASEAN Economic Community Council (26th AECC)

Y​ang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II attended the 26th Meeting of the ASEAN Economic Community Council (26th AECC) held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the 24th October 2025. The 26th AECC was chaired by His Excellency Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Malaysia and attended by the AECC Ministers from ten (10) ASEAN Member States and Timor-Leste. ​

The Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB), as Brunei Darussalam’s national focal point to the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ACCMSME), in collaboration with the Industry and Business Ecosystem (IBE) Division of the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE), held the National Dissemination Seminar for the ASEAN SME Policy Index (ASPI) 2024 today at the Mutiara Ballroom, Radisson Hotel.

Brunei Darussalam today commemorated World Statistics Day 2025 with a national-level dialogue at the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE), underscoring the pivotal role of high-quality statistics in supporting national development during the final decade towards Wawasan Brunei 2035. The event was officiated by the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Dr Hajah May Fa’ezah binti Haji Ahmad Ariffin, Permanent Secretary (Economy, Trade and Industry), Ministry of Finance and Economy.

Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE) in collaboration with the Temburong District Department, Ministry of Home Affairs held the ‘Jelajah Daerah’ to socialise The Twelfth National Development Plan (RKN12) on Saturday, 18th October 2025 at BIBD Connects, Labu Square, Temburong District. Present as the Guest of Honour for the ceremony was Awang Hassan Baha bin Haji Umar, Acting Temburong Distri ct Officer, Temburong District Department. Also present during the program were Penghulu and Acting Penghulu Mukim; Village Heads and Acting Village Head; Heads of Departments for Temburong District Government Branch; Members of the Village Consultative Council; and private sectors.
