Unemployment Rate Decreased to 4.8 Per Cent

The Labour Force Survey (LFS) 2024 reports that Brunei Darussalam’s working age population aged 15 years and over stands at 346,800 persons. Of these, 64 per cent (233,800 persons) participate in the labour force while the remaining 36 per cent (131,000 persons) are outside labour force.

Tahlil Ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum for Male Officers and Staff of the Ministry of Finance and Economy and its Departments in Conjunction with Ramadhan 1445H/2025M

The Ministry of Finance and Economy and its departments held a Tahlil Ceremony for the late Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, the late Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Damit, and the late His Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim in conjunction with Ramadhan 1446 Hijrah / 2025 Masihi. The ceremony took place at the Royal Mausoleum, Jalan Tutong, Bandar Seri Begawan.

Brunei Darussalam's Economy Grew 4.2 Per Cent in 2024

In 2024, Brunei Darussalam’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at constant prices, grew at 4.2 per cent year-on-year, driven by a 5.5 per cent expansion in the Oil and Gas Sector and a 3.1 per cent growth in the Non-oil and Gas Sector.
